Esophageal Manometry

Using a very small caliber tube placed through the nose in the esophagus, the doctor with the assistance of a computerized program can measure the movements of the esophagus. These abnormal movements many times cause problems swallowing or chest pains that can be diagnosed with this method.

Informed Consent
Informed consent will be obtained for any elective procedure performed by Dr. Llaneza. The patient will receive a full disclosure of the procedure, alternatives, risks, and possible consequences at the time of the visit.
